Weekend in Chicago

This past weekend wasn't a good one for the Lindenwood womens hockey team. We went up to Chicago to play against Robert Morris College, our rival team. They are one of the few teams that can come close our team in the standings. This year and past years, there has been a battle for the first place spot in the national rankings. Last year we beat them in overtime of the championship game for the national title. So, this weekend we went up there very excited to play them, and we expected to get some wins out of it too. It turns out we end up losing both games against them, and now we might have to face a lower ranking for the national tournament. Overall we didn't have a bad weekend, but there was some horrible refs, and I felt like they kept getting lucky bounces. So we came back upset about the losses, but we did learn a lot from the weekend, and I think it will help us prepare even better for the national tournament.
